Solara Living Inc. ("Solara Living", "we", "us") operates the website solaraliving.ca and a showroom at 7250 Keele St., Unit 255, Vaughan, Ontario L4K 1Z8. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us, and limited technical information collected automatically:
- Inquiry and quote requests. When you submit a form on our website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, details about your project, and any photos or files you choose to attach.
- Lead forms on social platforms. If you respond to one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, we receive the information you submit in that form, typically your name, email address, phone number, and your answers to the form questions.
- Calls and email. If you contact us directly, we keep the correspondence and contact details needed to respond.
- Website usage data. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies that collect technical data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries and prepare quotes.
- To schedule consultations, site visits, deliveries, and installations.
- To send you information you asked for about our products and services.
- To measure how our website and advertising perform, so we can improve them.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email without your consent.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use the following measurement tools on solaraliving.ca:
- Google Analytics 4, which helps us understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, traffic sources). Data is aggregated and does not identify you personally to us.
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, which help us measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to inquiries. When you submit an inquiry, a conversion event may be shared with Meta; any contact details included in server-side events are hashed before transmission.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and manage how Meta uses your data in your Meta ad preferences.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores form submissions securely.
- Our email delivery provider, which sends inquiry confirmations and notifications.
- Google and Meta, for the analytics and advertising measurement described above.
- Our manufacturing and installation partners, when needed to prepare a quote or complete your project.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention
We keep inquiry and project records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and warranty obligations. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights and choices
