Two segments

Plug it in. Or wire it in.

Northern Leisure splits the catalog into two clear paths. The same outlet your patio heater uses, or a dedicated 240V circuit for the full-power experience. Both are full-foam, both are designed for our climate, both come with the same dealer install.

19 models across the two segments. We'll match seat count, electrical, and budget on the call.

Built-in standard

What's in every tub.

The hardware that ships with every Northern Leisure hot tub, regardless of segment. The differences across the 19 models are seat count, jet count, and electrical, not the underlying systems.

01
Ozonewater care

Electronic Water Purification injects ozone into a mixing chamber. Less chemical handling, cleaner water, lower upkeep.

02
50 sq ftmicro-filter

Micro-filtration cartridges across the line. Premium tubs run 2 to 4 cartridges with a dedicated circulation pump.

03
Stainlessheat element

Stainless steel heating element across the line. Plug-and-Play tubs use a 1.25 kW element on a 120V outlet; Premium tubs run a 5.5 kW element on a dedicated 240V circuit. Both are corrosion-resistant for the long haul.

04
LEDthroughout

Underwater LEDs, illuminated cup holders, point lights, and an LED-lit waterfall on premium models. Dim it, stage it, leave it dark.

Common questions

Everything we get asked first.

6 questions covered. If yours is not here, we'll answer it on the consultation.

Service area · Vaughan & Toronto

120V models plug into a standard outdoor outlet with a built-in GFCI cord, no electrician required. They heat slower and run a single-speed circulation in low draw. 240V premium models hardwire to a dedicated 60-amp GFCI circuit, heat faster, drive larger pumps with more jets, and support bigger tub sizes. Most plug-and-plays can be field-converted to 240V with a kit if you upgrade later.
Northern Leisure dealers run a 9-step VIP delivery and setup. The flat fee is $500 to $750 for ground-level, fully accessible installs. Crane access, elevated decks, or stairway hauls are extra. Solara coordinates the date, the placement, and the running of the tub. Your electrician handles the actual hookup since codes vary by city.
Northern Leisure recommends 2x8 joists at 16-inch centres with a maximum 8-foot span as the minimum spec for a residential tub. A 4-person Premium tub fully loaded sits around 2,500 lbs. Most existing decks need reinforcement. We review your deck framing during the consultation, and if the deck cannot carry the load, a concrete pad or sleeper system is the usual fix.
Plug-and-Play 120V models cost roughly $40 to $60/month to run. Premium 240V tubs with five-layer insulation cost roughly $60 to $90/month, depending on use and outdoor temperature. Costs are higher mid-winter and lower in summer.
Every Northern Leisure tub ships with an Electronic Water Purifier that injects ozone into the water, plus micro-filtration. You add a small amount of sanitizer (chlorine or bromine) weekly. Premium tubs also have a dedicated circulation pump that keeps the water filtering 24/7. A typical maintenance routine is 15 minutes a week.
Across Vaughan and Toronto. If you also want a pergola, our pergolas team covers the wider GTA and Southern Ontario, so a combined project is straightforward, both delivered through Solara Living.
